We reside in a handsome building on a large corner lot, featuring mission-inspired architecture and located on the outskirts of historic downtown El Paso, Texas, population 750,000 souls. Our St. Paul church has served God and our community for 96 years in this place. El Paso is nestled around the Franklin Mountains, adorned with desert plant-life and teeming with native wildlife, at the Southern-most tip of the majestic Rockies. This is the spot where Texas, New Mexico, and Old Mexico converge to form the largest international metroplex in the world, seamlessly blending cultures and traditions!

Our congregation is a small, but mighty, core of 60-70 faithful worshippers committed to doing Christian ministry and evangelism through church committees, prayer, regular Bible study and a traditional worship service. The median age of the congregation is 65. Our goal is to increase the number of helping hands to do outreach, grow in our personal faith, and as Resurrection people, through action and love, carry the saving gospel of Christ to all in need of hope. We, therefore, ardently seek inspired leadership to affirm and strengthen our resolve and guide us in the ways of the Holy Spirit to see through “new eyes” God’s vision for His work in this place – “El Paso del Norte”.

Our adult choir, under superb direction, and accompanied by gifted organists playing on a quality pipe organ, enhance our traditional worship service and delight the listeners.

El Paso is witnessing explosive urban revitalization and our historic downtown is now the site of many of our outstanding arts organizations. The recently renovated Plaza Theater dating back to the early 20’s is the proud new home of the 76 year-old El Paso Symphony Orchestra, the longest continuous orchestra in the State of Texas. The newly constructed, contemporarily designed El Paso Museum of Art is considered to be one of the regions most acclaimed for its permanent collection as well as its regular and varied current exhibitions. The El Paso Pro-Musica has enjoyed unprecedented stability and success, this year celebrating its 30th anniversary. In addition to a full concert season, fall – spring, each January, this esteemed organization hosts the month long Chamber Music Festival. Top talent, hailing from the international community, attract and enthrall audiences that regularly number in the hundreds. These are just a few of the thriving arts organizations in the city.

The University of Texas, El Paso continues to break down barriers while changing the face of higher education. As a major research university located in the heart of the U.S. – Mexico border, nearly 72 percent of the student body is Hispanic. UTEP embraces this as its mission – providing access and excellence in higher education.

Located just 45 miles northwest of El Paso is the main campus of New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM. Established in 1888 as an agricultural college and prep school, NMSU is now recognized by the Carnegie Foundation as a major research university and ranked in that institution’s top category, Level One or Research-Extensive. The university is also highly regarded in the fields of agriculture, engineering, science, business, education, social science and arts. There is a reciprocal residency policy.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Campus is a branch of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. It opened as a School of Medicine in 1969 as the Regional Academic Health Center and in 1973 became affiliated with R.E. Thomason General Hospital. Private funds are currently being raised to build a 4-year medical school.

El Paso also claims El Paso Community College as one of the top junior college systems in the country.

Fort Bliss, Texas is a ripe vineyard for spirited evangelism among our military personnel and their families. More extensive information on this installation – one of the largest in the country – can be found on the Wikipedia website.
